This morning, Camus received a beautiful sharing from her spiritual sister, Kothari Nithya Durgananda Syong. Here it is that share all of you this sunny Saturday:
Question from a seeker during Yoga Sutras discourse:
Does the Nirodha Parinamah (no-mind state) happen by the Guru's grace or self-effort?
Swamiji's reply:
'You need to have self-effort to be in the Guru's grace. When you have the Guru's grace, have the self-effort to retain in that space. When you have the Guru's grace, take the self-effort to sit and soak yourself and establish yourself in Nirodha Parinamah.
Nirodha Parinama is the dimension of you in which are thoughtless, the space in you when no thoughts happen, when you have a deep trust with the master.
Soak yourself again and again as much as you can. Let your whole body be soaked in that pure space. Sit as much as possible in an unclutched receptive mood. If you are not able to sit in the master's presence, sit with at least 7 people who have experienced the Kundalini awakening.
Usually if 7 people are experiencing levitation, all 7 chakras will be active in that space. This space, Nirodha Parinamah becomes eternal in you, when you become steady and soaked in the master's presence where the thoughtless space is happening again and again.
Put yourself in the master's presence and soak yourself in the master's presence and you will automatically, naturally establish yourself in the Nirodha Parinamah, the no-mind space. Guru's grace and self-effort are not a paradox. If you want to know about paradox, come to INDIA!"
Thanks Swamiji :) <3
